Upon completing these sub-specialised training fellowships, Dr Krishna undertook a Master of Surgery Degree (MS) specialising in Upper-GI Surgery, all while working as a Consultant General Surgeon at the Middlemore & Whangarei Hospital, New Zealand before moving to Australia in 2010, where he has lived and worked ever since.
In addition to bariatric surgery, Dr Govind Krishna also has extensive experience in advanced Upper-GI laparoscopic surgery, including complex hiatal-hernia surgery to treat chronic acid reflux (GORD), general abdominal hernia surgery and gallbladder (cholecystectomy) surgery.
